MDLBeast Soundstorm, in detail

Getting to and from Soundstorm

Soundstorm is a night event on a site outside the city, which makes the journey home the hard part rather than the journey out. Everybody arrives across a few hours and everybody leaves inside one.

A pre-booked car removes both ends of that. The chauffeur drops at the gate you actually want, waits on site through the night rather than being summoned into the exit queue, and the price is confirmed before you go.

For groups the same thing runs as a loop: a coach or a Coaster holding an interval between a Riyadh hotel and the site, so nobody in the party is deciding when to leave on behalf of everyone else.

Artist, crew and production logistics

Festival movement is not one schedule, it is three that overlap. Production arrives days early and works odd hours. Crew moves in blocks and needs vehicles that hold their kit. Artists move on their own timings, late, and with a short window either side of a set.

We run all three off one coordinator, with the vehicles staged on site rather than dispatched from the city each time. Every journey is followed live by the dispatch room, which matters at three in the morning when a set has overrun.

Sprinters and vans carry crew and equipment. Sedans and SUVs handle artist and VIP movement, discreetly, with chauffeurs who understand that the back of the car is not a conversation.

Late-night fleets and the ride home

The operations room is staffed twenty-four hours, so a four in the morning finish is an ordinary booking rather than a favour. Chauffeurs on late-night festival work are scheduled for it, not carried over from a full day.

Cabins are stocked before every trip with bottled water, wet tissues, Wi-Fi and phone charging, which after eight hours on a festival site is the whole point of the car.

Book well ahead for the festival week. The fleet is our own, so we can hold vehicles against a date, but the date fills. Guests flying in are met inside the terminal through airport transfers.

Before you ask Soundstorm

Asked, answered.

Yes. Late-night fleets are standard on festival work and the operations room is staffed around the clock. The chauffeur waits on site through the night rather than driving out and back, so there is no wait for a car that is still in traffic.

Yes. Production, crew and artist movement are three overlapping schedules and we run all three off one coordinator, with vehicles staged on site. Sprinters and vans take crew and kit; sedans and SUVs take artist and VIP movement.

Yes, as a timed loop between a Riyadh hotel and the site rather than as separate bookings. A Coaster seats twenty-two and a coach up to forty-nine.

As early as you can. The fleet is our own so vehicles can be held against a date, but festival week fills. A quote comes back in minutes whenever you ask.
