What Boulevard City is
Boulevard Riyadh City is a purpose-built entertainment district in Hittin in the north of the city, and the centre of gravity of Riyadh Season. Inside are arenas, cinemas, fountains, installations that change from year to year, and well over a hundred places to eat.
Boulevard World sits next to it: a walk-through park of zones built as streetscapes from more than twenty countries, around a lake. It is the part most first-time visitors are picturing.
None of it is a daytime destination. The gates open in the late afternoon and the place runs to the small hours, which is the most useful thing to know when planning the car.
Getting in and out
The traffic on Prince Turki Al-Awwal Road on a good season night is the whole problem. Twenty-five minutes from Olaya becomes considerably more, the approach queues, and parking near the gates goes early.
Dropping at the gate solves the arriving half. The leaving half is the one people underestimate: everybody leaves within the same hour, ride-hailing prices climb exactly then, and the waits are long. A chauffeur who is already waiting is a different evening.
Where a group is arriving together, the cars are dispatched as one movement rather than separately, so nobody is standing at a gate alone. That is how event transportation runs for the arena nights.
Planning around the programme
Riyadh Season changes every year: zones are added, arenas take different residencies, ticketing moves. What was open last winter is not a guide to this one.
So the coordinator checks what is running on your date and plans the drop and the collection around the show or the gate you are using, rather than around a generic address.
For arena nights the collection point is agreed before you go in, because finding a car afterwards in that crowd is not something anyone wants to improvise.

It fills after nine and stays busy to the small hours. Arriving late and leaving later is the local way to do it.
